Little Miss M is one! | Lethbridge Child Photographers

Last night I went out on a shoot with my friend, and fellow photographer, Devon Durocher. Little Miss M is turning 1! Her mom brought some great props including the cute chairs and the birthday cake and Devon brought some balloons. Only one balloon ended up surviving, the other ones untied while they were around my wrist and off they flew…
But thankfully Miss M had the pink one tied securely around her wrist:)
I always have a great time shooting with Devon! We work great together and always have a lot of fun:)

Leslie & Brad : Wedding | Waterton Wedding Photographer

It was a gorgeous day for a wedding. Just warm enough, a small breeze and just enough clouds in the sky. And it being in Waterton just made it perfect!
I had never met Leslie and Brad before the big day. We corresponded entirely through email and phone calls so I was super excited to finally meet them! They decided to hold their ceremony at Linnet Lake, a little boat launch just inside of Waterton, it is a really beautiful spot. This was actually the second time for me shooting in this very location as one of my couples from last summer chose the very same spot. After the ceremony we took a few photos around Linnet Lake and since Leslie had expressed how much they loved Cameron Lake we decided to make the 15 minute trip up to get some photos up at the lake. For anyone who has been up to Cameron Lake, you’ll know just how beautiful it is up there! Such a perfect location for wedding photos.

Thanks Leslie and Brad for letting me be apart of your special day! I hope the rest of your vacation in Waterton is relaxing and fun!

Chill Session with Rob & Lauren Photographers

I was pretty nervous/excited as this past weekend approached. I’ve never been to a workshop like this before…only 10 photographers, lots of learning and shooting…with amazing photographers Rob & Lauren. I learned so much! There were a few things that I really need to work on and I feel confident that I was given some really great tools to take with me and implement into my own business. I’m really excited to see what I can do with what they gave me.
For part of the day we went out and “shot” a couple. Lauren demonstrated how she directs/interacts with clients which was amazing! I learned a lot by watching what she does. We were able to shoot right along side her which I loved! Our wonderful ‘models’ for the shoot were the newly married BJ & Michelle…they were amazing and rocked it out!

I also took Lauren’s advice and changed my profile photo here on my blog. This one is SO US whereas the other one, while it’s one of my favorites of us, isn’t who we normally are. Thanks Lauren for pointing it out to me, it really makes tons of sense:)

Now on to the photos! Here are some of my favorites…I have SO many!

If any photogs out there have been thinking about attending one of their chill sessions I totally recommend they do! They have another one coming up in October so check it out!

I’m off tomorrow for a small, intimate wedding in Waterton. I’m very excited to implement what I’ve learned into this shoot. So check back later this week for a sneak peek!

Whitney & Shane : Wedding | Support Shooting for Lorelei Hoffarth Photography

At the beginning of August I was fortunate enough to be able to support shoot for Lorelei Hoffarth Photography. It was another hot one but the wedding party was really great! I wasn’t sure what I’d think about support shooting since I had never done it before but I really enjoyed it. It was nice just to sit back and get some candids and different angles. Working with Lorelei as well as Dickson Ng was a great experience!
Here are a few photos that I captured:
