Category Archives: misc. I will be out of the office from December 22, 2011 until January 3, 2012. I will respond to all emails and inquiries as soon as I can. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  For the past 4 years my mother-in-law has lived in our basement. It’s been an interesting experience to say the least… So now the time has come and she has moved out. We are really excited that we now have our entire house to the 3 of us! So we moved our son, Mattias, downstairs and made our little den space a playroom for him. He is over the moon excited about it! And for me, that means I finally get an office space! Yes, I’m a wee bit overjoyed by this! I have been working out of our kitchen for the past few years. It was just the only additional space we had for me to set up my little workspace and I tell you it’s hasn’t exactly been ideal. But it worked good enough and I got my work done with little problem. But I’ve been longing for a little space to call my own and to really have a little solitude while I work. So over the past couple of weeks we have been transforming Mattias’ old bedroom into my new office. I’ve got new paint up on the walls, which very closely matches my new branding colors, and I’m really loving it! Just this week my husband, Brett, ripped out all the old ugly carpet and we laid down beautiful new laminate flooring and new baseboards and trim. I’ve ordered some gallery wraps to put up on the walls, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect shelves and I bought a couple of awesome chairs. I’m so so pleased with how it’s coming together! I just have a few little finishing touches left for it to be complete…one major thing being a desk! I’m just SO happy to be moving out of our kitchen! So since the space is nearing completion and it’s currently empty, I took Mattias in there for a little impromptu photo session!
There will definitely be more photos soon of the finished room. I can’t wait to get in there!  I hope everyone has a fun and candy-filled Halloween! These are our pumpkins that we carved this year. We always have so much fun deciding what each of us is going to carve! We had a blast this year as usual! My son’s is the Transformers symbol (with the help of my husband), our good friend Sara usually comes over and carves a pumpkin too, her’s is the scarecrow, mine is the owl and lastly, my husband Brett’s is the haunted house. I think we did a pretty good job! -Shelley  This is just a friendly reminder about Christmas deadlines.
